Roosevelt District: McKinney Vento Services
The McKinney-Vento Act defines homeless children and youth as individuals who lack a fixed, regular, and adequate nighttime residence. Through the McKinney-Vento Act, the Roosevelt district will provide services to children, unaccompanied youth, and families in displacement, which includes those who are: sharing the housing of others due to loss of housing, economic hardships, staying in hotels/shelters due to the lack of an adequate alternative.
