    REMINDER: The Louis E. Yavner Teaching and Citizen Awards is now Accepting Applications for the 2021-22 School Year

    • The Louis E. Yavner Teaching Award recognizes an elementary or secondary, public, and nonpublic school teacher in New York State who has made outstanding contributions to education about the Holocaust and other violations of human rights.
    • The Louis E. Yavner Citizen Award was established to honor Holocaust survivors, scholars of the Holocaust and human rights issues, and self-taught experts who help to educate students about these difficult topics.

    • The New York State Education Department (NYSED) has reissued a Request for Proposals (RFP) # 22-014a regarding a Homeless Children and Youth Technical Assistance Center.

    • All bids are due by 3:00 PM Eastern Time on March 10, 2022.

    FCC's AFFORDABLE CONNECTIVITY PROGRAM - INTERNET SUBSIDY FOR QUALIFYING FAMILIES 

    • The Affordable Care Program (ACP) was created to help households struggling to pay for internet service. 
    • All families approved to receive benefits under the free and reduced-price school lunch program or the school breakfast program, including through the USDA Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) in 2019-2020, 2020-2021, or 2021-2022 school year are eligible for this program.  
    • ACP provides a monthly discount for broadband service of up to $30/month, or up to $75/month for households on qualifying Tribal lands.
