We have included some frequently asked questions below. If you have any additional questions, please email registration@rufsd.org.

    FAQs

Q:  How do I get started?
A:   Every student is assigned an individual SNAPCODE.  This SNAPCODE allows the system to prefill information into the registration form to make it easier to complete.  SNAPCODES are sent home either by US Mail or email once the regisration portal is open for the school year.

Q:  When was the snapcode email sent?
    A:
Returning student snapcodes were emailed in 2020, and sent to the guardian email listed in our system if one was provided. You will receive a separate email for each returning student.

Q:  When was the snapcode letter sent?
    A:
Returning student snapcodes were mailed by postal service in 2020, and sent to the home address listed in our system.  You would have received a separate letter for each returning student.

Q:  How do I complete online registration?
    A:
Returning student parents need to review the pre-populated data and make any necessary updates and upload any required documents. Remember to click the [submit] button after you have completed everything; you will not be able to make any changes after you click [submit]. If this button is grayed out, then you have forgotten to answer a mandatory field, or you have an answer in an incorrect format.  For example a phone number - Please use this format:  ###-###-####.

Q:  Do I need to upload a certified birth certificate or Proof of Age?
    A:
Yes.  All students were required to have a certified birth certificate or official proof of age uploaded for the 2020-2021 school year.  If you completed the re-registration process in 2020-2021, you will not need to provide documentation again with the exception of medical information as per New York State law.  If you are currently unable to get a certified birth certificate due to the restrictions created by COVID-19, please submit your registration now and provide the certificate prior to the start of school. The district will continue to exercise flexibility as the situation evolves.

Q:  Do I need a Child Health Examination/Immunization Form, Dental Exam form or Eye Exam form?
    A:
Yes. The health requirements are found on the Medical page once you log into PowerSchool Enrollment. If you are currently unable to get a health exam, dental exam, or eye exam form due to the restrictions created by COVID-19, please submit your registration now and provide these forms prior to the start of school. The district will continue to exercise flexibility as the situation evolves. Additionally, due to COVID-19, you may use the most recent health form you have until restrictions are lifted and you can get an updated form.
