• The New York State Common Core Learning Standards for Mathematics require teachers to focus on fewer standards in order to provide students an opportunity to understand concepts, increase math skills, develop fluency, and apply what is learned.

    The Washington Rose Math Department is committed to working towards the goal of the Common Core: preparing students for college and the workforce. We provide academic assistance for students along with resources, professional development, and instructional support for teachers and staff.
